Fun with Bash & Azure, simply because I can
Deploying a demo-environment for training purposes over and over again by hand is no fun, but getting out of your comfort zone to automate it is (wel.... up to a point)!
Over the last couple of years, I went from a total CLI noob to a mediocre shell-scripter. During this talk, I will elaborate on my journey from simply concatenating a couple of CLI commands with Bash towards run-of-the-mill scripts with error handling, parsing return values and defining functions to deploy and configure stuff in Azure...
Why? Because it's fun. Because I can. Because of XKCD456.

In 2018 he joined AT Computing and was promoted to CTO in early 2019. From that moment on he started to adapt the course of AT Computing towards containers, config management and cloud, with Linux at the core (of course) and a way of working that is heavily influenced by DevOps, LEAN and Continuous Delivery principles. Being brainwashed by the AT Computing gurus for over 4 years, he has become a huge fan of open source software. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family or on his road bike or mountainbike.
