We hope you all had a great time at T-DOSE this year. We are still editing the T-DOSE presentation videos, which will take some time. However, you can already look and listen back to what happened at T-DOSE this year!

Apart from our own recordings, there are also other sources available from the event, including the podcasts from Hacker Public Radio and the Angry Nerds.

Several speakers have already uploaded their presentation slides themselves. These are now accessible from the talk information pages that are linked from the schedule.

A well established T-DOSE tradition is to have a dinner and a couple of drinks with speakers, volunteers and visitors to end the first conference day. And our twentieth anniversary will honour this tradition. Our social event will start at 5pm on Saturday evening. This is a great way to interact informally with all our speakers and whoever else you meet at T-DOSE. Discuss your experiences of the day and all the presentation that are still coming on the next day. Everybody is welcome.

Register now to be a part of this!

If you are interested in a nice dinner with like-minded people, then please let us know via email to socialevent @ t-dose.org. Because we need to book in advance, there will only be a very limited amount of extra slots available for sale on the day itself. Yes, really limited, if not fully booked in pre-registration. So, register early to guarantee your place at the table. Do not wait or you might get disappointed.

Social event tickets cost 35 euro. You can pay during the event itself, at the T-DOSE info stand on Saturday. The social event is only open to people who have registered and paid before this event starts. Attendees of the social event will gather in the main hall of the T-DOSE event location. Don't be late, the doors will close at 5pm for the start of the social event. The entrance fee must be paid before that time at the T-DOSE info stand. If you have special dietary constraints, such as vegetarian, please specify this in your email.

7th at the Weeffabriek in Geldrop, marks the 20 year anniversary of
our event.

In 2006, the first edition of T-DOSE was held at the Eindhoven University of
Technology. Our founders, Jeroen Baten and Jean-Paul Saman, wanted to create an
Open Source event in the Dutch Brainport region, which is one of Europe's
strongest technological hotspots. And although we've had some ups and downs, 20
years later, we're still going, still connecting the Open Source community, not
only within the Netherlands but also beyond the borders.

So, we hope to welcome you at the Weeffabriek in June, for a great weekend
filled with Open Source goodness, and of course to celebrate 20 years of T-DOSE
with us!

The event consists of a central track with presentations and a bazaar where Open Source projects can present themselves. This year, which marks 20 years since the first edition, T-DOSE will be held on 6 and 7 June at the Weeffabriek in Geldrop.

The T-DOSE organisation calls for proposals for talks. All presentations related to open source, open standards, open data or open hardware are welcome. Possible subjects for talks include specific software development projects, but also practical application of open source in schools/institutions or industry, open standards, community management, programming languages, open internet applications, legal aspects, historic developments, hackerspaces, etc. We also have some capacity for related workshops.

At the same time, we open registrations for participation in the bazaar, where stands will be available to open source projects and other related groups to present themselves to the public. The stands will be placed in a central information market area.

The deadline for presentation abstracts, workshops and project stand requests is 31 March 2026. Submit your registration via our registration page and make sure to select the appropriate track.

As always, there is no entrance fee and advance registration is not required: just walk in whenever you feel like. The keynote is highly recommended though, so best join early.

We have a full conference schedule with parallel tracks, starting at 10:00 on both Saterday and Sunday. Check out the quick overview of all speakers. We also have a very nice line-up of project stands, who will be presenting in the Grote Spoel room.

On Saturday evening, we will be hosting our famous social event with dinner. Unfortunately, this is now fully booked and we don't have extra seats available. On Sunday, there will also be a live podcast session by the Angry Nerds at lunch time: do join in and see them live.

The conference venue is on walking distance from the Geldrop train station; bicycle parking is available right in front of the building and plenty free car parking is nearby. Our venue page has the full details, and also more practical information (full address, ATM, nearby accommodation..). The Weeffabriek building is named for the weaving mill located there, that is still in operation in the museum part of the building, open 13:00-17:00 on both days.

To keep T-DOSE completely free (free as in beer) for all visitors, we rely on our sponsors and on donations from visitors. Donations can be made at the infodesk during the event or directly online. You should of course visit the infodesk in the Grote Spoel anyway, to buy your unique T-DOSE t-shirt. There are still plenty shirts from last year as well; as these arrived a bit late. We also sell T-DOSE mugs with this year's flashy logo. These mugs can be refilled with coffee and tea at no additional cost during the entire event.

See you tomorrow!

And I have to say that I really like putting time and effort into keeping our event alive and helping it grow over the years. The enthusiasm of the core team is infectious, and we have gotten very experienced in organising this event.

However, in the years since COVID-19 we have lost a few core organisers, and this is affecting the workload of the remaining team. Some tasks are harder to get done, and I fear future editions of T-DOSE may suffer from that. We are particularly short-handed in the area of money-related tasks, such as fund raising and managing the foundation's finances.

So, if you think that organising an open source conference is worth a few evenings a month of your time, please let us know. We are particularly looking for a new treasurer for our foundation and for someone who is good at finding and communicating with prospective sponsors, but extra hands in other areas are also very welcome.

If you want to help, but feel that you lack the time to help us organise T-DOSE throughout the year, or prefer a more hands-on role during the event, we are also looking to increase our pool of volunteers for the actual weekend. So don't hesitate to let us know if you're available!

Join us for a chance to get that warm feeling of seeing your efforts lead to yet another great event!

<del>We are now looking at dates in April/May 2021.</del> We hope very much that conditions will improve soon to such an extent that letting T-DOSE take place is possible in a safe and healthy way.

While as of yet the measures taken with regard to the Corona virus extend only until April 6th, it seems unlikely that everything will go back to normal at that time. Because of this, we have made the decision to postpone the event.

The good news is that we have been able to secure a new date at our venue. T-DOSE 2020 will now take place on October 24th and 25th of this year. The Call for Papers and Projects has been extended until September 15th.
