Social Event on Saturday

written by T-DOSE on 2023-04-13

It is a good T-DOSE tradition that we will have a social event with dinner on Saturday evening. This year will be no different. We will get together with T-DOSE organisers, volunteers, speakers and visitors after the first conference day - 22 April at 6pm. We can discuss the interesting presentations of the first day and look forward to what still awaits us on Sunday. Or just hang out with some cool people and discuss whatever you like. Everybody is welcome.

Register now to be a part of this!

In order to prepare for this event, we need a good estimate on how many people will join is. That is why registration is open as of today. If you are interested in a nice dinner with like-minded people, then please let us know via email to socialevent @ t-dose.org. Because we need to book in advance, there will only be a very limited amount of extra slots available for sale on the day itself. Register in advance to guarantee your place at the table.

Social event tickets cost 25 euro. You can pay during the event itself, at the T-DOSE info stand on Saturday. The social event is only open to people who have registered and paid before the event starts. Attendees of the social event will gather in the main hall of the T-DOSE event location. Don't be late, the doors will close at 6pm for the start of the social event. The entrance fee must be paid before that time at the T-DOSE info stand. If you have special dinner wishes, such as vegetarian food, please specify this in your email.

Announcing project stands

written by T-DOSE on 2023-04-11

As in previous years, we will have an information market during the entire conference, where Open Source related projects can present themselves. This year, there will be several projects that have also been present at previous editions, such as Debian, Hackalot, OpenOffice and Free Your Model Train (FYMT). However, there are also a number of projects that are new to T-DOSE, such as the local Home Computer Museum, opsi, Standard for Public Code and Bareos.

The full list of projects is published on our Projects page, which includes links to the websites of all the organisations for more background information. The official list will be updated in case anything changes. The project bazaar will be available on both days of the conference, during the entire day. Please visit these stands to learn more about these great projects.

T-DOSE postponed

written by T-DOSE on 2020-09-14

In the light of the recent upsurge of COVID-19 cases in both the Netherlands and the rest of the world, we have concluded that an event that brings together people from many different places is not a very good idea right now. Because of this, we have decided to postpone T-DOSE a second time.

We are now looking at dates in April/May 2021. We hope very much that conditions will improve soon to such an extent that letting T-DOSE take place is possible in a safe and healthy way.

Update: Spring 2021 is not an option either. T-DOSE will happen again, we just do not know when yet.

T-DOSE 2020 postponed

written by T-DOSE on 2020-03-21

It is with great regret that we have to announce that T-DOSE 2020 cannot take place on the planned dates. While as of yet the measures taken with regard to the Corona virus extend only until April 6th, it seems unlikely that everything will go back to normal at that time. Because of this, we have made the decision to postpone the event.

The good news is that we have been able to secure a new date at our venue. T-DOSE 2020 will now take place on October 24th and 25th of this year. The Call for Papers and Projects has been extended until September 15th.

We hope to see you all this autumn!

Corona virus

written by T-DOSE on 2020-03-12

We are monitoring the developments of the Corona virus (COVID-19) and the proposed mitigations. We will adhere to the recommendations of the National Dutch Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). Today, the Dutch government advised the nation-wide cancellation of events with over one hundred participants. However, there is currently no advice beyond 1 April 2020.

We continue to prepare for the T-DOSE 2020 conference, and hope that the event can proceed as planned. The organising team is working hard to arrange everything. We are still looking for additional speakers and open source projects. Please fill in the the submission form if you wish to give a presentation.

Later this month, we will give an extra update on the developments regarding COVID-19 and the consequences for T-DOSE 2020.

T-DOSE on 25 & 26 April 2020

written by T-DOSE on 2020-01-09

We're excited to announce that the 2020 edition of T-DOSE will be a two-day event again! It will take place on the 25th and 26th of April at Hofdael in Geldrop.

Update: The event has been re-scheduled to 24 and 25 October 2020.

We think Hofdael is a great new venue for T-DOSE. Hofdael is located in the center of Geldrop, a town near Eindhoven. It is less than a 15 minute walk from the railway station. There is also plenty of parking space in the area.

We hope to see you all there!
